Portable monocrystalline solar panels are suitable for home use, as well as for places without electricity, such as cottages, caravans, gardens or popular campsites. They consist of cells made from a single piece of monocrystalline silicon, produced by hot crystal pulling. The main advantage of monocrystalline panels is a lower temperature coefficient. IN PRACTICE, this means that if the panel heats up in warm weather, a monocrystalline panel will produce more electricity than a polycrystalline panel, which has a higher temperature coefficient.
