Photovoltaic panel made of polycrystalline silicon. Duralumin frame 25mm, cover glass.
Polycrystalline cell:
A substrate is made from smaller silicon crystals, which is pressed into a single unit.
The round ingot is then cut into so-called wafers, which are trimmed to the required size of the PV cell.
Naturally, this technology cannot achieve such material purity, so visible transitions between crystals are noticeable.
Advantages of polycrystalline:
Slightly higher production yield from diffused light (unfavorable light conditions)
