Anchoring

When laying a plastic edging, it needs to be gradually anchored. You can choose from two options - plastic and metal pins. Plastic anchoring pins are mainly used for anchoring into common ground - for example into loose soil. Steel anchoring pins, on the other hand, are used in places where you encounter denser ground - for example clay soil.

When installing a straight section of plastic edging, 3 anchoring pins per 1 meter will be sufficient. However, if you are bending and shaping the edging, it is advisable to anchor the section with 6 anchoring pins. On one section of IGEL edging, 1 meter long, there are always 6 holes for pins. Both types of pins mentioned fit into these holes. An ordinary hammer is sufficient for driving in the pins.
