• How do I choose the correct output for a ladder radiator in the bathroom? As a rough guide, allow approximately 100 W per m² of bathroom floor area at a typical ceiling height and standard insulation; if the radiator is the sole heat source in the room, choose a higher output within this range.
• What is the difference between a water, electric and combined (dual) radiator? A water radiator is connected to the house's heating system (boiler) and only works when the heating is running; an electric radiator has its own heating rod/element and works independently of the heating (suitable, for example, outside the heating season); a combined (dual) radiator allows both modes - in winter it is heated by the boiler, while in summer or outside the season it works independently on electricity.
• Do I also need a thermostat for an electric radiator? A thermostat is not always included with the heating rod/element - if it is not, we recommend buying one separately, as it lets you regulate the temperature and save electricity instead of running constantly at full output.
