- How do I choose the right output for a bathroom ladder radiator? As a rough guide, allow around 100 W per m² of bathroom floor area at standard room height and insulation; if the radiator is the only heat source in the room, choose a higher output within this range.
- What is the difference between a hydronic, electric, and combined (dual) radiator? A hydronic radiator is connected to the house's heating system (boiler) and only works while the heating is running; an electric one has its own heating element/coil and works independently of the heating (suitable, for example, outside the heating season); a combined (dual) radiator allows both modes - heated by the boiler in winter, and running independently on electricity in summer or outside the season.
- Do I also need a thermostat for the electric radiator? A thermostat is not always included with the heating element/coil - if not, we recommend purchasing one separately, as it allows you to regulate the temperature and save electricity instead of running constantly at full power.
- Must installation be carried out by a professional? Hanging the radiator on the wall can be done by a skilled DIYer; for connection to the water heating circuit (for hydronic and combined models) we recommend having this done by a heating engineer/plumber.
