Temperature Sensor for Solar Tank
Code: 743000Product detailed description
The temperature sensor is inserted into a sensor well in the solar tank - it measures the temperature of the heated water in the lower (cooler) part of the tank and, together with the sensor on the collector, allows the solar controller to evaluate whether it is still worthwhile to draw heat from the collector into the tank.
Temperature sensor with a 3m cable, intended for solar tanks, resistant up to a temperature of 110°C.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I check that this part fits my solar pipework/system? Compare the dimension/thread stated in this product's name with the diameter of your solar pipework or connection - solar components are generally manufactured in several standard sizes (DN12, DN16, DN20, DN25).
- Why are solar components resistant to higher temperatures than standard heating parts? In high solar radiation and low heat draw-off, the heat-transfer fluid in the solar circuit can reach significantly higher temperatures than ordinary heating water, which is why the seals, joints and the parts themselves are designed for higher temperature resistance.
- Must the installation be carried out by a professional? We recommend leaving work on the solar circuit (especially connecting, sealing and filling the system) to a solar systems professional, as incorrect sealing or a leak can cause the heat-transfer fluid to escape or air bubbles to form in the system.
