Features and functions:

• The new control electronics are designed with an emphasis on increased user comfort, a display integrated directly on the board, and the replacement of mechanical parameter switches with software settings secured by an entry code, etc.
• The automation software has been updated and includes several patented solutions - e.g. a self-diagnostic system and fault evaluation
• The board design places emphasis on higher reliability of the operating elements
• The board includes a universal terminal block for both a room thermostat and an OpenTherm-communication controller (eliminating the need for the IU 02 unit)
• The electronics include both hardware and software for controlling a boiler cascade
• The software allows convenient service parameter settings via PC (authorised service only)
• The DIMS 01 automation monitoring and tester can still be used (different connectors - wiring adapter pieces required)
• For boilers with a tank, the software allows switching off domestic hot water (DHW) heating at the left end position of the DHW temperature control knob
• Possibility of connection to a solar system

• Suppression of EMC interference caused by the ignition spark and contact switching
• Pump operation control, fan operation control
• Flue gas discharge control by pressure switch or flue gas thermostat
• Power supply of the safety and flue gas thermostat by safe low voltage
• Provision of irreversible shutdown
• Smooth flame modulation with PWM current regulator
• Temperature control by PID-type regulation
• Heating temperature monitoring by an NTC temperature sensor (continuous-flow water heating boilers only)
• DHW temperature monitoring by an NTC temperature sensor
• DHW tank thermostat input (heating of an indirect tank)
• Communication with an external controller (OpenTherm) or cascade system (with IU04 and IU05 interfaces)
• Communication port for a desktop or laptop computer for boiler monitoring and setting of operating parameters (authorised service only)
• Optional integrated weather-compensated control using an external temperature sensor
• Information menu for checking operating parameters
• Setting of boiler operating parameters (setup menu)
• Boiler configuration setting after entering an access code (setup menu 2)
• Fault detection via the history menu
• Three rotary controls for selecting the operating mode, the desired heating temperature and the desired DHW temperature (continuous-flow heating only)
• Monitoring of heating water flow, or pressure, by a flow/pressure switch
