HydroLock is a professional non-hardening sealing cord (thread sealing string) designed for sealing threaded connections on metal and plastic pipework in heating, gas and drinking water installations. Unlike hemp with paste or hardening thread sealants, HydroLock seals the joint immediately after assembly - the connection can be pressurised and tested right away, with no curing time.

Each cord is made of more than 200 reinforcing fibres, giving it high tensile strength while still wrapping tightly and evenly around the thread. The fibres conform to the thread profile and, together with the cord's wetting properties, create a durable, tight barrier that prevents leaks even under vibration or minor thread irregularities.

Installation

Wrap the cord around the male thread in the direction of tightening, starting from the second thread and working towards the pipe end. Apply an even, moderate tension so the cord beds into the thread grooves, then screw the fitting together as usual. Excess cord can be trimmed or tucked in after tightening.
