The RSS transmitter sends a signal to the TS4-F and TS4-A-2F units to keep the photovoltaic modules connected when they are switched on and supplying power. The TS4-F units automatically switch to rapid shutdown mode once the RSS transmitter is turned off. And resume power production once power to the RSS transmitter is restored. This solution complies with the NEC 2014, 2017, and 2020 690.12 specifications for rapid shutdown using power line communication (PLC).
