How does galvanic treatment of hard water with Trinity Scale Protection work?

This system uses a reactor with a zinc anode, which releases zinc ions into the water. These change the structure of calcium minerals (calcite) into aragonite – a mineral with the same composition but a different shape. Spherical aragonite has up to 15 times greater volume than calcite and has no ability to settle. Instead, it flows freely through the system and is washed away together with the water.

Corrosion protection

The galvanic reaction also protects metal pipes against corrosion – zinc ions create a protective layer on the metal surface that prevents further oxidation (rusting). After deposits are removed, long-term anti-corrosion protection forms inside the system.
