UV lamp Cintropur UV 2100
Code: DNM_2100Product detailed description
Cintropur UV 2100 UV Lamp for Water Disinfection (NW2100)
The Cintropur UV 2100 is a UV lamp for water disinfection that reliably eliminates bacteria and viruses using UV-C radiation. It is a new model directly from the Belgian manufacturer Cintropur – with robust European construction, a quality UV lamp (Philips), and minimal maintenance: you replace the lamp once a year and enjoy peace of mind.
Why choose the Cintropur UV 2100
- Chlorine-free water disinfection – no chemicals and no by-products
- Does not change the taste or composition of the water – UV-C radiation addresses microbiology, not minerals
- High efficiency – with proper design and pre-filtration, it can reduce bacteriological contamination by up to 99.99%
- Stronger performance for higher flow rates – a 25-watt UV lamp with a maximum flow rate of up to approx. 1.7 m³/h
- Easy maintenance – the complete lamp with the source is replaced once a year (handled as a single part)
- Quick bayonet replacement – release the bayonet, replace the part, click it back in; the replacement is quick and practical
- Durable European construction – robust, certified materials, made in Belgium
- More stable performance in practice – a built-in flow restrictor helps maintain the correct disinfection mode
- Practical venting/draining – a Teflon drain screw element for draining water from the chamber or releasing pressure
How does the Cintropur UV 2100 UV lamp and UV water disinfection work?
Water flows through the UV reactor around the UV-C lamp placed inside a protective quartz tube. The interior is formed by a polished stainless steel cylinder, which reflects UV radiation to further enhance the effect. UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm disrupts the DNA of microorganisms and prevents them from reproducing – effectively eliminating them.
UV disinfection is an eco-friendly method: it adds nothing "extra" to the water and does not change its physical-chemical properties.
Who is the Cintropur UV lamp suitable for
Family houses, cottages, restaurants, laboratories, healthcare facilities, and industry – anywhere you want microbiologically safe water without chemicals while also needing higher performance/flow rate.
Illustration of water disinfection using UV-C radiationFlow rate and performance – what is important to know?
- Power of the UV lamp: 25 W
- At the standard specified UV dose – 40 mJ/cm² – the recommended nominal flow rate is approx. 1.1 m³/h.
- The maximum flow rate is stated at up to approximately 1.7 m³/h (depending on conditions).
- In practice, a "flow rate of up to 2.0 m³/h" is often mentioned – however, the actual safe flow rate always depends on the required UV dose and water quality (turbidity/iron/manganese). If you wish, we can design the system so that the UV lamp operates in the correct mode according to your water and consumption.
Maintenance and service
- UV lamp replacement: once a year (effectiveness lasts approximately 12 months)
- Replacement is handled via a bayonet system – it is quick and simple.
- UV lamp lifespan: ~9,000 hours (approx. 1 year)
- Quartz tube: the manufacturer recommends replacing it after 5 years at the latest or depending on contamination.
Recommended pre-filtration
Before the UV lamp, mechanical filtration of at least
