The VA 2-AWC DK is a wired (cable-connected) room controller from the Vaillant aroVAIR accessory range, designed specifically to control cassette fan coil units of the 5 and 10 kW power class – namely the VA 2-050 KN and VA 2-100 KN models. The controller is mounted on the wall of the room (typically at the height of a standard light switch, in an accessible and representative location) and is connected via cable to the control electronics inside the fan coil unit hidden in the suspended ceiling. It serves as the main user interface of the entire fan coil system – through this controller, the user sets the required temperature, operating mode, fan speed, and time program without the need to access the equipment above the ceiling directly.

The controller offers five basic operating modes: Auto (automatic switching between heating and cooling based on the current room temperature and the set value), Heating, Drying (dehumidifying the air without a significant drop in temperature), Cooling, and Fan (air circulation without active heating or cooling, suitable for example for quickly airing out odours or humidity). Maintenance

As an electronic device, the VA 2-AWC DK controller requires almost no regular maintenance apart from occasionally wiping the display and keypad with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
