Vaillant eloMENT VER 100/5 is a compact wall-mounted electric convector with an output of 1.0 kW, designed for bathrooms, hallways or smaller offices up to approx. 10 m². Thanks to its protection against splashing water, it is also suitable for damper spaces such as bathrooms or washrooms.

It is a flat, universal wall-mounted convector intended for direct electric heating without the need for water or gas distribution - simply mount it on the wall using the supplied brackets and plug it into a standard electrical outlet. It is therefore an ideal solution wherever it is not possible or worthwhile to install classic hydronic heating, or as a supplementary heat source during the transitional season (spring/autumn), when it is not worth running the whole boiler for the sake of a single room.

The VER 100/5 model belongs to the eloMENT VER range, which is manufactured in five power levels from 0.75 to 2.5 kW - all of them share the same design, height and depth of the body, differing only in width according to power output, so you can choose exactly according to the size and heat loss of the heated room.

Thanks to precise electronic control, the VER 100/5 convector maintains the set room temperature with minimal fluctuations, which, compared to older mechanical (bimetallic) thermostats, results in noticeably more economical operation and higher thermal comfort. The daily and weekly program allows you to set different temperatures for different parts of the day (e.g. a lower temperature at night and during absence, higher in the morning and evening), further reducing electricity consumption without loss of comfort.

Installation and mounting

Installing the VER 100/5 convector is simple and does not require the intervention of a qualified electrician or any construction work - simply attach the supplied wall brackets to the wall (masonry, plasterboard with a suitable anchor) and hang the convector at the desired height, usually according to the manufacturer's recommendation above floor level. The convector is then connected via a flexible cord to a standard 230 V electrical outlet.

During installation, we recommend:

• Maintaining a safe distance from the bathtub, shower cubicle or other water source in accordance with applicable regulations for electrical installations in damp areas (despite the IP24 protection rating).
• Choosing an outlet on a separate protective circuit if simultaneous operation of multiple electrical appliances is planned in the room.
• Not covering the convector with furniture, curtains or other textiles that would block the free flow of air around the unit.
• When installing in a bathroom, placing the control panel out of direct reach of water and in accordance with the zoning of electrical installations in damp areas.

Use and compatibility

The eloMENT VER 100/5 convector is a standalone heating appliance - it does not require connection to a heating water system or a gas connection, and operates independently of the building's central heat source. This makes it an ideal solution for:

• Supplementary heating of individual rooms - for example an attic room that is far from the central heating distribution.
• Transitional periods - spring and autumn, when it would be wasteful to run the whole house heating system for the sake of one colder room.
• Recreational properties - cottages and cabins with occasional visits, where it pays to heat only the room currently in use.
• Bathrooms and damp areas - thanks to IP24 protection, also directly near a shower cubicle or bathtub (while maintaining safe zones).
• Offices and commercial spaces - as a local solution where it is not possible or practical to install hydronic heating.

Maintenance and care

The eloMENT VER 100/5 electric convector does not require any regular servicing in the sense of classic heating technology - it contains no burner, flue or mechanical wearing parts, except for the control electronics. Recommended care includes:

• Occasionally wiping the surface of the unit with a slightly damp cloth (after disconnecting from the power supply) and removing dust from the ventilation openings at the top and bottom of the convector.
• Checking that the power cord and plug are not damaged, especially if the convector is installed in a damp environment.
• Not using aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive sponges on the surface of the unit.
• In the event of an electronics or control panel fault, contacting an authorized Vaillant service center, as attempting to access the interior of the unit yourself is neither appropriate nor safe.

Compared to cheap portable fan heaters, the eloMENT convector offers permanent wall mounting, quieter operation without stirring up dust in the air, and more precise electronic temperature control instead of a simple mechanical thermostat. Compared to oil-filled radiators, the eloMENT is significantly more compact, does not take up floor space, and there is no risk of it tipping over or leaking oil. Compared to infrared panels, which primarily heat surfaces within direct range of the radiation, the VER 100/5 convector heats the air throughout the whole room more evenly and reacts more quickly to changes in the set temperature.

The choice between individual types of heating appliances therefore depends mainly on the intended use - for short-term, quick heating of a smaller space, a cheaper portable appliance may also be suitable, while for a more permanent and comfortable solution with lower consumption at the same comfort level, a branded wall-mounted convector with electronic control, such as the Vaillant eloMENT, is the more advantageous choice in the long run.
