Vaillant VA 2-WC D (order number 0010045959) is a digital wall-mounted controller with a display designed to control Vaillant aroVAIR VA 2 CN console fan coils (VA 2-015/035/045/075 CN) as well as other compatible console and duct units of the aroVAIR range. It is the most comfortable controller in the accessory lineup for this series – it offers Auto, Heating, Dry, Cooling and Fan operating modes, three fan speed steps (MIN/MED/MAX) and an automatic mode in which the unit selects the optimum fan speed itself according to the current deviation from the required temperature.

What the controller solves and why it is needed

How the controller works in practice

Once connected to the fan coil's terminal block (according to the wiring diagram in the manufacturer's installation manual), the controller takes over control of the fan and, in two-pipe systems, also signals the required mode. In Auto mode the unit decides itself whether to heat or cool based on the current temperature deviation from the set value (in combination with a correctly set heat/cold source). Heating and Cooling modes allow the user to manually force a specific mode regardless of the automatic logic, which is useful for example at the start of the heating or cooling season. Troubleshooting common problems

If the controller does not respond to a change in the set temperature, first check whether the fan coil is connected to a 230 V power supply and whether the circuit breaker has not tripped.
