The SET makes it easier to plan the required quantity of bags and geogrid for the implementation of the VOM® system.

It contains four basic elements and one additional element – bag, connector, anchors, tie strap and mesh.

The VOM® set contains 12 empty bags, 12 connectors, 12 straps, 36 anchors and 3m of plastic mesh with a height of 1.3m. Quickly, easily and more cheaply than with concrete structures, reinforce the slope and build a retaining wall with an area of 1m2.

The set is designed to create 1m2 of retaining wall. Four bags are placed side by side in width and three bags in height. After laying, a wall with a width of 2.8m and a height of 0.4m is created. Since the geogrid is placed on the third row of bags, the set contains a plastic geogrid with a length of 3m according to the width of the wall, while you will have an extra 20cm for possible overlap.

By calculation you will find out the required area of the vegetation retaining wall in m2 (based on the length and height of the slope).

In your order, enter m2 according to your own calculation, your own discretion or according to a structural engineer or designer who prepared the documentation.

The bag is the basic element of the modular system intended for the construction of retaining walls, fences, cascades, flood protection walls and many other structures.

The bag is sewn from a special non-woven textile (a mixture of primary and recycled synthetic fibers) with an area density of 195 to 245g/m2, which is strong and flexible. The textile does not decompose in the soil (it is not biodegradable) and can withstand even significant cutting or tearing without a negative impact on the effectiveness of the vegetation retaining wall system. The bags are resistant to weather conditions, UV radiation, and allow water and plant roots to pass through to the surface.

The color stability of individual bags may vary slightly, but this does not affect their functional properties.

The bag is filled with various materials depending on the method of use or type of planted vegetation:

• dry soil
• gravel
• a mixture of soil and gravel in a ratio of 30:70
• topsoil
• a mixture of topsoil and substrate in a ratio of 70:30
• heavier garden substrate
• crushed stone of fraction 5 - 16 mm

Anchors are part of the VOM® system and are supplied as a set together with a bag, strap and connector. The anchoring pins are used to secure bags on top of each other and, with a connector, side by side. They are made of durable plastic that resists chemical and organic substances in the soil. When installing in hard soil, they are made of surface-treated metal. The purpose of the anchors is to prevent the bags from shifting. They are also used to fix the geogrid, thus forming a solid structure of the retaining wall.

Connectors are used to connect individual filled bags side by side. They are made of durable plastic or surface-treated metal, and have holes through which anchors are threaded and fastened into the bag.

Straps are used to tie the vegetation bag at its end after filling with the chosen material. They are made of plastic and prevent the material from spilling out of the bag.

The geogrid is placed on the third row of vegetation bags and is an integral part of the construction of the VOM® system. It performs a stabilizing function and helps reinforce the slope. It is laid lengthwise along the entire length of the retaining wall directly on the bags or in the backfill on the back side of the wall.
