Hanging Marten Repellent for Cars MARDER KUGELN

Scent-based marten repellent in the form of hanging repellent balls to protect the engine compartment from martens. Simple and quick installation with immediate effect. The package includes 1x hanging holder and 2x repellent balls with repellent substance, 1pc lasts approximately 5-6 weeks, active substance Geraniol

Target organism

For repelling martens - for example the Beech marten (Martes foina), the Pine marten (Martes martes) and others.

Area of use

The scent repellent balls are primarily designed to repel martens from the engine compartment of the vehicle, where they cause significant damage by gnawing on insulation, chewing through wiring, or brake system hoses. 

Preparation

When handling the scent repellent ball, use rubber or polythene gloves to avoid direct contact of the repellent substance soaked into the ball with your skin. In case the substance comes into contact with skin, thoroughly wash the affected area with water and soap and then rinse with clean water.

1. Put on protective gloves as recommended above. Then continue by opening the package, for example using scissors, see picture no.1, and taking out 1pc of the scent repellent ball from the protective packaging.

2. Also take out the holder for hanging the repellent ball from the package and firmly place the ball in the middle of the holder, making sure it cannot fall out.

Application

Warning, martens mark their territory with urine, so before installing the holder always thoroughly clean / wash the engine compartment. The holder with the scent repellent ball must not be installed directly on or next to hot parts of the engine compartment - there is a risk of ignition!

3. Now hang the holder in a suitable and dry place in the engine compartment, see the picture above. Make sure the holder is hung horizontally and securely, so that it does not come loose and fall while driving.

4. The repellent effect of the scent ball is immediate, as it is made of cellulose and soaked with a repellent substance that is very unpleasant for martens, so they should start avoiding the engine compartment right after installation.

Effectiveness

The effect of 1pc of the repellent scent ball lasts approximately 5-6 weeks, after which it needs to be replaced with a new one. The package always includes 2pcs of repellents => possible protection for up to 3 months. The hanging marten repellent can be used all year round regardless of the outside temperature.
