Condensing boilers
Condensing boilers are today the most common choice for both replacement and new installation of gas heating. Unlike conventional boilers, they also make use of the heat from water vapor in the flue gases, so you heat more from the same amount of gas and save on running costs.
In our range you'll find proven brands such as Bosch, Buderus, Protherm, Vaillant, Viessmann or Attack – from compact wall-mounted models to powerful sets with a hot water storage tank.
You choose a boiler primarily according to output relative to the area and insulation of the house, and according to how you need to heat hot water as well. You'll find a detailed selection guide and an overview of the individual types further down the page.
They are equally suitable for radiator and underfloor heating – it's precisely with underfloor heating, thanks to the lower operating water temperature, that they achieve the highest efficiency.

Condensing boilers are among the most efficient ways of heating with gas. Unlike conventional boilers, they also make use of the heat from water vapor in the exhaust flue gases that would otherwise escape through the chimney – thanks to this they achieve an efficiency close to 98 % and noticeably lower gas consumption. They are equally suitable for radiator and underfloor heating, or a combination of both.
In our range you'll find boilers from proven brands such as Bosch, Buderus (Logamax), Protherm (Thermolink, Tiger Condens, Panther Condens), Vaillant (ecoTEC plus) or Attack – from compact wall-mounted models to more powerful sets for larger households.
When choosing a boiler, the most important factor is output (kW) relative to the area and insulation of the house, the number of radiators and hot water demand. If you are also dealing with hot water heating, choose according to how many people are in the household and how many draw-off points (bathroom, kitchen) you need to supply:
- Boilers with a built-in storage tank – a compact solution, the tank is part of the boiler.
- Boiler and storage tank sets – a separate tank with a larger volume, suitable for higher hot water consumption.
- Boilers with the option to connect a storage tank – a boiler without a tank, which you can add at any time.
- Boilers with instantaneous DHW heating – no tank, water is heated directly on draw-off.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What boiler output do I need for a family house? For a normally insulated house, a rough estimate is about 1 kW per 10 m² of heated area, though the exact output also depends on the number of radiators, ceiling height and the heat losses of the house.
- What is the difference between a condensing and a conventional boiler? A condensing boiler also uses the heat from the flue gases that a conventional boiler releases unused through the chimney, so it has significantly higher efficiency and lower gas consumption.
- Do I also need a hot water storage tank with the boiler? It depends on the household's hot water consumption – for multiple bathrooms or a larger family a storage tank is worthwhile, while for lower consumption instantaneous heating is enough.
- Can a condensing boiler be connected to underfloor heating? Yes, thanks to the lower operating water temperature, condensing boilers are especially suitable for underfloor heating.
- How often does a condensing boiler need servicing? A service inspection is generally recommended once a year, which is usually also a condition for maintaining the manufacturer's warranty.
