Apartment metering sets are used to separate and allocate the billing of heat consumption (and, in the EQUICOMPACT version, also hot or cold water) in individual apartments of an apartment building. The set includes shut-off ball valves, a filter and a mounting position for a heat meter or water meter, which can be added later.
The Kv value of the set (for example Kv 2.25 or Kv 2.75) determines the flow coefficient of the fitting and must correspond to the designed flow rate of the given apartment circuit. The mounting spacing for the meter (110 mm or 130 mm) is chosen according to the type of meter used, and the meter's nominal flow rate Qn (1.5 m³/h or 2.5 m³/h) according to the size of the apartment.
