• How do I choose the right output for a bathroom ladder radiator? As a rough guide, allow approx. 100 W per m² of bathroom floor area for a standard room height and insulation level; if the radiator is the only heat source in the room, choose a higher output within this range.
• What is the difference between a water, electric and combined (dual) radiator? A water radiator is connected to the house heating system (boiler) and only works while the heating is running; an electric radiator has its own heating element/coil and works independently of the heating (suitable e.g. outside the heating season); a combined (dual) radiator allows both modes - in winter it is heated by the boiler, in summer or outside the season it runs independently on electricity.
• Do I also need a thermostat for the electric radiator? A thermostat is not always included with the heating element/coil - if not, we recommend buying one separately, as it allows you to regulate the temperature and save electricity instead of running constantly at full power.
• Must the installation be carried out by a professional? Hanging the radiator on the wall can be handled by a competent DIYer; for connection to the water heating circuit (for water and combined models) we recommend using a heating engineer/plumber.
