ATMOS D 85 P
Code: D85PProduct detailed description
- 24-80 kW ecological, fully automatic pellet boiler
The boiler is fully equipped by default with:
automatic ash removal from the combustion chamber and rear heat exchanger, an additional ash bin with a volume of 160L, and pneumatic cleaning of the rear tube heat exchanger
- it is designed for perfect pellet combustion so that, depending on the customer's needs, a pellet burner is built into the left or right side of the boiler, which fully automatically draws pellets from the storage tank using a screw conveyor. The fuel storage tank is usually placed next to the boiler or in an adjacent room and can be of any size (standard 250, 500, or 1000L). A part of the boiler room is also often used as a fuel storage tank, which is then sufficient for the entire heating season.
The operation of the pellet burner itself is fully automatic. When the burner receives a start command or when heating is required, the conveyor feeds pellets into the burner nozzle and ignites them automatically with a heating element (spiral). After the pellets have sufficiently ignited, the burner ramps up to the set output, which it maintains until the system (house) is heated. The burner then switches off and the pellets in the burner chamber burn out completely. The burner is then ready for a new start. The whole cycle repeats whenever heating is needed again.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output during one loading - it is therefore common practice to add a buffer tank to the boiler, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
- What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (equalizing) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature boiler corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - exact chimney draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually firewood logs of defined length and moisture content, or possibly brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can damage the boiler.
- What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is legally required - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular ash removal and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually a matter of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney, and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures, and pressure elements, where an error in connection can pose a safety risk.
