Detailed information

Product detailed description

- 25kW the most modern wood gasification boiler – DOKOGEN with an extraction fan, ceramic lining, a cooling loop with a large hopper with side primary air supply and a flue fitted with a tube bundle

 - the Dokogen type features a special firebox lined on both sides with ceramic mouldings, fitted at the bottom with openings for the supply of preheated primary air, a gasification nozzle with openings for secondary air supply, and a lower combustion chamber with a spherical ceramic space. The rear flue gas duct is fitted with a tube heat exchanger.

Gasification of wood (reverse-down burning) with subsequent combustion of the wood gas in the ceramic combustion space ensures optimal burnout of all combustible substances. Air supply and the combustion process are controlled by the extraction fan. This allows the boiler to fire up quickly and burn well right from the start. The flame temperature is 1000 – 1250 °C. Reverse-down combustion and the ceramic combustion space enable practically perfect combustion with a minimum of harmful emissions. The boilers meet the limits for an environmentally friendly product.

Advantages of ATMOS wood gasification boilers :

  • ability to burn large pieces of wood
  • large fuel hopper = long burning time
  • tube heat exchanger
  • high efficiency over 90% - both primary and secondary air are preheated to a high temperature
  • environmentally friendly combustion - boiler according to STN EN 303-5 class 5, ECODESIGN 2015/1189
  • extraction fan - dust-free ash removal, smoke-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating - no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown once the fuel has burned out - flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal - large ceramic combustion space for ash (emptied about once a week when burning wood)
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base it on the calculated heat loss of the building being heated. For wood/coal boilers, however, also consider that the boiler burns for several hours per load at essentially constant output - it is therefore common practice to add a buffer (accumulation) tank, which stores surplus heat for later use instead of forcing the boiler to be inefficiently throttled down.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (accumulation) tank of adequate volume, a circulation pump (often already fitted with a Laddomat or a thermoregulating valve to protect the boiler against low-temperature corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler’s output - you’ll find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what isn’t? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (typically split logs of a defined length and moisture content, or brown-coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly damp fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit build-up, and can damage the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspections and legislation? Before commissioning the boiler, and regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), the law requires the chimney to be inspected/cleaned by a certified chimney sweep - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler need? This usually involves regularly removing ash and cleaning soot from the heating surfaces/flue gas passages (the interval depends on how intensively the boiler is used, typically a matter of weeks), plus a thorough annual check including the seals and chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? Positioning the boiler and connecting it to the heating system, chimney and safety components should be carried out, or at least professionally checked, by a heating technician - this is equipment with an open flame, high temperatures and pressurised components, where a connection error can be a safety risk.
