Product detailed description

A load disconnector to protect the battery against deep discharge. Maximum load current 220 A. Integrated Bluetooth for easy setup. The Smart BatteryProtect protects the battery against excessive discharge (which could damage the battery) and can be used as an on/off system switch.
Automatic 12/24V setting:
- the BatteryProtect automatically detects the system voltage.
Integrated Bluetooth = very easy programming:
- thanks to the integrated Bluetooth function for programming, the Smart BatteryProtect allows you to easily set the desired voltage levels for load connection/disconnection. Settings can be made via a smartphone, tablet or PC using the VictronConnect app. Alternatively, one of nine preset connection/disconnection levels can be set using the programming pin (see manual). Bluetooth can be switched off if needed.
VictronConnect app:
- download the app for free under the name VictronConnect app from the App Store or Google Play.
Special setting for Li-ion batteries:
- in this mode, the Smart BatteryProtect can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS.
- note: the Smart BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge disconnector between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery. See the wiring diagram in the manual.
Very low power consumption:
- low consumption is very important for Li-ion batteries, especially after switching off at low voltage. For more information, please see the Li-ion battery datasheet and VE.Bus BMS manual.
Overvoltage protection:
- in the event of overvoltage that could damage sensitive devices, the devices are disconnected if the DC voltage exceeds 16 V or 32 V respectively.
Spark-proof:
- does not use relay elements but MOSFET transistor switches, so no sparking occurs.
Delayed alarm output:
- the alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the set value for longer than 12 seconds. This means engine starting does not trigger the alarm. The alarm output is an open collector output to the negative bus, max. current 500 mA. The alarm output is typically connected to a buzzer or a light signal.
Delayed load disconnection:
- the load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm has been triggered. If during this time the battery voltage rises to the "connection threshold" level (e.g. during engine starting), the load will not be disconnected. The load reconnects 30 seconds after the battery voltage rises above the preset reconnection voltage.
The BatteryProtect is unidirectional, i.e. current can only flow from the "in" input to the "out" output. Reverse current flowing from the "out" output to the "in" input is not permitted and will damage the device.
