Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I choose the right output for a ladder radiator in the bathroom? As a rough guide, allow approx. 100 W per m² of bathroom floor area at a standard room height and insulation level; if the radiator is the only heat source in the room, choose a higher output within this range.
- What is the difference between a water, electric and combined (dual) radiator? A water radiator is connected to the house's heating system (boiler) and only works while the heating is running; an electric radiator has its own heating rod/element and works independently of the heating (suitable e.g. outside the heating season); a combined (dual) radiator allows both modes - in winter it is heated by the boiler, in summer or outside the season it works independently on electricity.
- Do I also need a thermostat for an electric radiator? A thermostat is not always included with the heating rod/element - if not, we recommend buying one separately, as it lets you regulate the temperature and save electricity instead of running constantly at full output.
- Does the installation have to be done by a professional? Hanging the radiator on the wall can be done by a home handyman, but we recommend having the connection to the water heating circuit (for water and combined models) carried out by a heating engineer/plumber.
