DRAŽICE OKC 160/1 m2 combination storage water heater

Working position – vertical (wall-mounted):

• The vertical combination water heater DRAŽICE OKC 160/1 m2 is designed for wall mounting. The modern cylindrical tank of the boiler has a capacity of 147 l, and the controls are hidden behind a cover so as not to be visually disruptive.  

Features:

• The electric heating element is not immersion type, but ceramic, dry, inserted into a steel casing
• Because the tank of the water heater and the casing are made of the same type of material (steel), no galvanic cell or electrochemical corrosion occurs
• The system of ceramic bodies withstands hard and aggressive water exceptionally well and significantly extends the service life of the tank under all conditions
• Cleaning openings allow access to the interior of the tank and make it possible to remove sediment and limescale, thus saving on operating costs
• The magnesium anode as additional corrosion protection also extends the service life of the tank, thus increasing its high utility value

• Ceramic heating element controlled by an operating thermostat and secured by a safety thermostat (thermal fuse)

Heating via heat exchanger:

• The heat exchanger works both in forced circulation and in a gravity (self-circulation) system
• The DHW control sensor can be inserted into the shared casing with the electrical installation sensors

Frequently asked questions

• What tank volume should I choose? A common consumption estimate is based on approx. 40-50 litres of hot water (at approx. 40-45°C) per person per day for standard use (showering, washing); for bathing in a tub or with a larger number of bathrooms/outlets, a larger volume should be considered. When choosing, also take into account whether the tank will be heated by a high-output boiler (faster heating, smaller volume may suffice) or, for example, only by a solar system (where a larger volume is worthwhile for heat accumulation during the day).
• Can I connect this DRAŽICE tank to my existing boiler? In most cases yes, but you should check the compatibility of the hydraulic connection (dimensions and type of connections) and whether your boiler supports control of the tank heating (a temperature sensor in the tank and possibly a switching valve are required) - you can find these details in the product's technical parameters or our customer service can advise you.
• Where and how is the tank installed? The tank is placed as close as possible to the heat source (boiler) to minimize heat losses on the connecting piping, while still allowing sufficient space around it for service access (anode replacement, safety valve inspection).
• Must the installation be done by a professional? We always recommend entrusting the hydraulic connection to the water supply and to the heat source, including installation of the safety valve set to the correct pressure, to a heating engineer/plumber - an incorrectly installed or missing safety valve poses a safety risk.
