Most common use:
Year-round domestic hot water (DHW) heating using heating water from a gas boiler with a connection providing priority DHW heating, or combined operation of heating water and electric energy. From the OKC 200 NTRR volume onwards, it is possible to combine a gas boiler, an alternative energy source, or a solar system. By connecting both exchangers in series, an indirect-heat storage tank can be obtained for boilers over 24 kW in combination with electric energy.
A newer range of enamelled indirect-heat floor-standing water heaters with volumes of 100–300 liters, featuring an enamelled tank and a powerful single heat exchanger (or, from the 200-liter type onwards, two heat exchangers) for DHW heating from an external source or a combination of various sources. By connecting both exchangers in series, a DHW source with an output of up to 57 kW can be obtained. The water heater is equipped with DHW temperature regulation (thermostat for controlling a three-way valve or circulation pump) for a voltage of 230 V/50 Hz, a circulation outlet, and, up to 200 liters, a safety valve.
At the bottom of the water heater there is an inspection flange opening for cleaning the inside of the tank, fitted with an auxiliary electric heater. When using the water heater for a solar system, on water heaters over 200 liters a 6/4" connection is available, located above the solar exchanger for the TJ electric heating unit from the accessories.
