The electrothermal actuator is mounted on the thermoregulating valve of an underfloor heating manifold and, on command from the thermostat/control, opens or closes the flow of heating water into a specific circuit - in the resting state (without power) it is closed, which is a safety advantage in the event of a power outage. The low-voltage version (24 V) is used in combination with control systems powered by this same voltage.

• How does this accessory work together with an underfloor heating manifold? Electrothermal actuators, wiring centres and thermostats together form the control of individual circuits on the manifold - the room thermostat evaluates the need for heat and, via the wiring centre, signals the specific actuator on the manifold valve to open or close the flow into that circuit.
• How can I check compatibility with my manifold/control system? Check the valve thread type (usually M30 x 1.5) and the supply voltage (230 V or 24 V) - these must not be mixed up between systems.
• Must the installation be carried out by a professional? A DIYer can fit the actuator onto the valve; however, we recommend having the connection to the electrical control system/wiring centre checked by an electrician or heating technician.
