3. What power do I need? Is 60 W enough or do I need 120 W?

This is by far the most common question before purchasing. And at the same time, the one where customers most often make a mistake – either they underestimate the power or, on the contrary, they buy an unnecessarily powerful model.

The basic rule for a standard bathroom says: required power = bathroom area × 70 to 100 W/m². This coefficient depends on the room insulation, ceiling height, number of external walls and whether the bathroom receives heat also from central heating.

4. Does DEVIrail need its own socket or can I connect it to an extension cord?

This is a question where you need to be clear: DEVIrail must be connected to a fixed wall socket, not an extension cord. There are several reasons for this:

First, it is a permanently installed appliance in the bathroom. Extension cords are not designed for use in a humid environment – their insulation and contacts are not certified for zone 2 or zone 3 of the bathroom. 6. At what height from the floor should DEVIrail be mounted?

The recommended height of the lower edge of the rail from the floor is 10 to 15 cm. This is not just an aesthetic consideration – a lower placement allows heat to rise evenly along the entire height of the rail, and the space underneath remains accessible without the risk of mechanical damage. A higher placement (e.g., 30–40 cm) is used when installing above a bathtub, where safety zones must be considered.

The upper edge of the rail should not exceed a height of 180 cm – both for practical reasons (can you reach it?) and because a higher installation causes heat to accumulate near the ceiling without being useful. 7. What is the IP rating and where exactly in the bathroom can I install DEVIrail?

8. What is the electricity consumption and how much will the operation cost?

This is a question that often surprises customers – the consumption of DEVIrail is significantly lower than it might seem.

The 60 W model consumes 0.06 kWh per hour at full power. At an electricity price of around 0.20 €/kWh, this means 1.2 cents per hour of operation. Even if you let it run continuously for the whole day, you will pay 28.8 cents. That is less than 9 € per month.

It depends on the specific situation. The standard warranty period for DEVIrail is 24 months for consumers according to the Slovak consumer protection law. Technically yes – DEVIrail is an electrical appliance that works anywhere there is an outlet and a wall. It is used, for example:

Example: a 100 W model at 230 V draws about 0.43 A. This is far below the value that any standard thermostat can handle (at least 8–16 A). Yes, without any problem. DEVIrail is not limited to towels – practically any clothing or fabric can be dried on it. It is important that the textiles do not cover the entire surface of the ladder from all sides – this would limit air circulation and prolong the heating time. Most people in practice combine towels on the upper rungs and smaller items on the lower ones. What if the bathroom is very small (1.5 m²) – is DEVIrail safe at all?
