Replacement for sand in sand filtration systems.
Proper filtration is a key factor in maintaining pool water quality. The simplest are cartridge filters, but their disadvantage is quick clogging, short functional lifespan, and incomplete capture of impurities. A more effective option is sand filtration. Sand, as we all know, is an excellent medium for the mechanical filtration of water. Sand filters have a relatively long lifespan and are replaced approximately once or twice every two years. The Laguna Aqua-filter product offers something extra. It not only has the same efficiency as sand as a mechanical filter, but its active surface also acts as a sorbent, meaning it is able to remove dissolved chemical impurities from the water as well. Water filtered this way is significantly higher quality than water from sand filtration and, among other things, makes the use of pool chemicals easier. Once every two years, the filter medium needs to be regenerated using a salt solution.
Usage:
Sand in the filter can be easily replaced with Laguna Aqua-filter, which does not require any technically demanding filters or special equipment. Using Laguna Aqua-filter also reduces the cost of maintaining pool water, increases the effectiveness of chlorination, thereby reducing the required amount of active chlorine by up to 30%. It reduces odor in pools and skin irritation. The ability of Laguna Aqua-filter to capture impurities is many times higher than other filter media, because it uses three mechanisms: mechanical filtration, surface filtration, and ion exchange.

Instructions for use:
First, rinse Laguna Aqua-filter in a container with water, let it settle, and then pour off the water to remove dust particles and prevent them from being flushed into the pool water. Then pour the damp medium into the filter and rinse the filter medium with water outside the pool.
Regeneration of Laguna Aqua-filter:
After two years, let the Laguna Aqua-filter medium soak in a 10% salt solution (1 kg NaCl per 10 liters) for 6 - 12 hours. After this time, rinse and wash the regenerated filter with water outside the pool. This makes the filter ready for further operation.
