It eliminates all types of bacteria, viruses, algae and fungi and is recommended for use in new wells before water analysis. PolyWELL disinfection is used to disinfect boreholes, wells, water and retention tanks and is intended especially for wells that have been flooded or have not been used for a long time. PolyHMG with antimicrobial properties is a compound of Alkyl with a guanidine-based copolymer. PolyHMG owes its function mainly to the ability of its guanidine functional groups to form bonds with the cell membrane of pathogenic microbes. After bonding, the guanidine functional group penetrates the cell's cytoplasm and suppresses its regulatory function. By disrupting it, the cell becomes unable to function as it needs to and eventually dies.
