Rinnai HD 50i is a compact instantaneous hot water heater with a high delivery capacity, designed for use in the commercial sector. It is used wherever a reliable and efficient supply of hot water is needed. It is advantageous to use it with propane. Compared to electric water heating, it can save up to 45% in costs.
The system never runs out of hot water. As long as electricity, water and gas are connected, hot water is available every time the tap is opened. Processor-based electronics control the maximum temperature of the hot water supplied. The water temperature can be set to the required value. This is useful where hot water is used by small children or elderly people. The temperature can be changed instantly using the control panel directly on the heater or with a connected remote control. The temperature can also be set directly on the heater.

Rinnai is a Japanese manufacturer of gas appliances. It is also the world leader in modulating instantaneous hot water heaters. Continuous pressure on development and production has resulted in the construction of what is, to date, the most sophisticated device for heating hot water: the modulating instantaneous water heater.
When most people think about how to heat hot water, the first thing that comes to mind is a boiler tank or a combi boiler. This is due to the long tradition of using these methods of heating water, which are time-tested and relatively reliable. In the 1970s, when combi boilers were first introduced, the most in-demand boiler output was 20 to 30 kW. The technical design of combi boilers, built with a single burner and heat exchanger that also heated the hot water, was adapted to this output. Nowadays, buildings are better insulated and the heating output requirement has gradually fallen to a now-common 5 to 12 kW. In contrast, the demand for hot water quantity keeps rising, and the corresponding output needed to prepare it is around 30 to 50 kW.
