When most people think about how to heat hot water, the first thing that comes to mind is a boiler tank or a combi boiler. This is due to the long tradition of using these methods of heating water, which are time-tested and relatively reliable.

In the 1970s, when combi boilers were first introduced, the most in-demand boiler output was 20 to 30 kW. The technical design of combi boilers, built with a single burner and heat exchanger that also heated the hot water, was adapted to this output.
