The number of tiles depends on the size of the area you want to cover with tiles, as well as its shape.

For 50 x 50 cm tiles, you will need 4 pieces per 1 m2 when laying on a symmetrical area (square or rectangular) without any further obstacles.

For an asymmetrical area, we recommend ordering extra spare tiles.

• Jigsaw or utility knife for cutting the tile

Installation principles:

• The surface should be firm, smooth, level, dry and clean.
• The installation temperature should be between 5-25 °C

Installation procedure:

1. Start laying in a corner.

2. Continue until the required area is covered.

3. If you encounter walls or obstacles, cut the tiles.

4. Finishing strips can be used to complete the edges. When using finishing strips, take into account the material's expansion.

Fixing the paving with adhesive:

If you want to fix the tiles to concrete or another solid surface, you can use a special adhesive for rubber paving.

Thanks to the porous surface structure — the tiles allow water to pass freely through the surface and through the gaps between the tiles. No puddles form on the surface and the paving dries quickly after rain. The tiles also have a studded profile on the underside, which supports drainage and helps water flow further into the base layer or drainage layer. 

Do not place regular foils under the rubber paving, as they prevent natural water drainage, have a limited service life, and the studded profile on the underside of the tiles may damage them. 

Drainage layers

• If you are laying the paving on natural terrain, the base must be thoroughly leveled and compacted. Then use geotextile, which separates the individual layers and limits weed growth. On top of the geotextile, add a layer of sand or gravel, which ensures proper drainage. 
• Balcony and terrace: The paving can be laid on concrete or paving with a waterproofing coating. This creates a continuous protective layer, which prevents water from seeping into the structure and limits the formation of cracks, concrete degradation or leaks.

Even with heavy dirt, including oil stains, the paving can be effectively cleaned with both a high-pressure washer and a regular mop. Watch the video demonstration.
