Step-by-step installation

1. Cut the PEX-AL-PEX pipe perpendicular to its axis and use a calibrator to shape the end into a perfectly round form (this also removes any burr left after cutting).
2. Slide the union nut onto the pipe, followed by the clamping ring.
3. Push the pipe fully into the fitting body.
4. Tighten the union nut with an open-end wrench - do not overtighten, just tighten the joint to firm resistance.
5. After filling the system, check the joint for any leaks and tighten slightly further if needed.
