Room temperature controller Siemens REV 34DC
Weekly programmable PID controller Siemens REV 34DC for controlling a mixed heating circuit or heat source output. The most common application of these controllers is direct control of the mixing valve actuator based on room temperature. The result is a cost-effective and, for the user, very comfortable control solution, for example for discharging buffer tanks. Compared to pump-based discharging, where the temperature of heating units fluctuates considerably due to the high water temperature in the buffer tank and interruptions in pump operation, the subjective perception of warmth from heating units whose water is prepared by mixing is incomparably more pleasant.
Another important fact is that buffering allows the heat source to operate at maximum efficiency. This makes it the best configuration for solid fuel boilers. For electric boilers, it also enables obtaining a discounted electricity tariff and bridging power supply outages. A buffer tank also enables combination with alternative heat sources.
