Using the repeller is a completely common form of protection for large outdoor spaces, such as vineyards, orchards, gardens, etc. The repeller with IP54 protection rating is waterproof and dustproof, so it withstands even harsher weather conditions.

Installation

You attach the VIANO repeller using a bracket with pre-drilled holes for screws to almost any surface. You screw the repeller to a wall, or to a wooden board. You can attach it via the bracket in various ways. However, make sure to attach the repeller firmly enough so that it is not damaged by falling. 

Power supply method

The device is powered via a 12V solar panel with rechargeable Li-Ion batteries. During the winter months, there may be a lack of light and the solar panel may not charge the batteries sufficiently, therefore the package also includes a 12V mains adapter, which you can use to easily charge the batteries. The repeller also includes a low battery indicator, a light signal that will notify you of the battery charge level. When the battery energy drops to a threshold value, the repeller automatically switches to standby mode and stops emitting sounds. The repeller features switches in practical protective housings, thanks to which they will not be damaged by moisture. 

How the repeller works

The device triggers sound signals, which are frightening to birds, and as a result they leave the protected area after a short time. The device emits sounds of birds of prey at regular intervals, or when motion is detected. The volume of the emitted sound can be adjusted using a rotary knob. In the settings, you can choose from two scaring modes. The first mode provides a combination of motion detection and interval-based scaring. You can choose from 9 different time intervals of scaring, ranging from a disabled timer with no scaring (0) up to a scaring interval every 2 hours (9). In addition to this interval, you can have motion detection enabled, which triggers scaring even outside the set interval when motion is detected. If the repeller is set to 0, interval-based scaring is disabled and only motion detection works. The second mode allows scaring only at set intervals, without motion detection. In addition, the repeller features a dusk sensor, which automatically turns off the sound signals at sunset, so the repeller won't disturb or run needlessly during the night hours and automatically turns back on at sunrise.
