Vaillant insulation for connecting pipework for PHE C

Vaillant plate heat exchangers of the PHE S and PHE C series are among the key components of large professional boiler rooms, cascade configurations of condensing boilers and industrial heating hubs. Why insulate the connecting pipework, not just the exchanger body

3. Before the final commissioning of the assembly, it is recommended to visually verify that the insulation does not obstruct the operation of any fitting that is used regularly during operation.

Service, cleaning and care

If signs of limescale or dirt build-up appear (typical with hard or contaminated water), the exchanger is cleaned as follows: the system is taken out of operation, the exchanger is drained and removed. Only cleaning agents suitable for stainless steel and copper may be used for cleaning – unsuitable cleaning agents can permanently damage the exchanger. Flushing with the cleaning solution is carried out against the normal direction of flow, after which the exchanger is flushed with clean water, reinstalled, and it is recommended to check the water hardness before restarting.
