ATMOS DC 40 GS
Code: DC40GSProduct detailed description
- 40kW ecological wood gasification boiler – GENERATOR with ceramic lining, exhaust fan and a cooling loop
– the Generator type is characterized by a special firebox, which is lined on both sides with ceramic mouldings, fitted at the bottom with openings for the supply of preheated primary air, a gasification nozzle with openings for the supply of secondary air, and a lower combustion chamber with a spherical ceramic space. It is designed for burning wood on the principle of generator gasification using an exhaust fan (S), which draws the flue gases out of the boiler.
The boiler body is made as a welded construction from high-quality steel sheets 3 to 8 mm thick. It consists of a fuel hopper (6 mm), which is fitted at the bottom with a gasification nozzle with a longitudinal opening for the passage of flue gases and gases. The afterburning chamber beneath it is fitted with ceramic mouldings for ideal burnout of all combustible substances with high efficiency during environmentally friendly combustion. At the rear of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, which is fitted at the top with a starting flap. The upper part of the flue gas duct is fitted with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building; however, for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours on a single fill at essentially constant output - it is therefore common practice to supplement the boiler with a buffer (accumulation) tank, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
- What is a gasification boiler and how does it differ from a conventional one? A gasification boiler burns wood in two stages - first, in the upper chamber, heat releases a combustible gas (wood gas), which is then burned out together with supplied secondary air at high temperature in the lower combustion chamber. The result is significantly higher efficiency and cleaner combustion (less tar and soot) compared to conventional single-stage combustion in older boilers.
- What else do I need for the installation of this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (equalizing) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - exact draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split wood of defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly wet fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can damage the boiler.
- What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is legally required - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular ash removal and cleaning of the heating surfaces/flue gas passages from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually a matter of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney, and safety elements should be carried out, or at least professionally inspected, by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures and pressurized components, where a connection error can pose a safety risk.
