Detailed information

Product detailed description

- 49kW ecological wood gasification boiler – GENERATOR with ceramic lining, flue gas fan and cooling loop

– the Generator type is characterized by a special firebox that is lined on both sides with ceramic shaped elements, equipped in the lower part with openings for the supply of preheated primary air, a gasification nozzle with openings for the supply of secondary air, and a lower combustion chamber with a spherical ceramic space. It is designed for burning wood on the principle of generator gasification using a flue gas fan (S), which draws the flue gases out of the boiler.

The boiler body is manufactured as a welded construction made of high-quality steel sheets 3 to 8 mm thick. It consists of a fuel hopper (6 mm), which is equipped in its lower part with a gasification nozzle with a longitudinal opening for the passage of flue gases and gases. The afterburning chamber below it is fitted with ceramic shaped elements for the ideal burnout of all combustible substances with high efficiency and environmentally friendly combustion. At the rear of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, which is fitted at the top with a starter damper. The upper part of the flue gas duct is fitted with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Advantages of ATMOS wood gasification boilers:

  • possibility to burn large pieces of wood
  • large fuel container = long burning time
  • high efficiency
  • ecological combustion - boiler according to ČSN EN 303-5 class 4 and 5, EKODESIGN 2015/1189
  • flue gas fan - dust-free ash removal, dust-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating - no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown after fuel burnout - flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal - large ceramic combustion chamber for ash (with wood, ash is removed once a week)
  • boiler without a tube bundle - easier cleaning
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours per load at essentially constant output - it is therefore common practice to complement the boiler with a buffer tank, which stores surplus heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently damped down.
  • What is a gasification boiler and how does it differ from a classic one? A gasification boiler burns wood in two stages - first, in the upper chamber, heat releases combustible gas (wood gas), which is then burned together with supplied secondary air at high temperature in the lower combustion chamber. The result is significantly higher efficiency and cleaner combustion (less tar and soot) compared to classic single-stage combustion in older boilers.
  • What else do I need for the installation of this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (equalizing) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - exact draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use exclusively the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually piece wood of defined length and moisture, or lignite briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or excessively moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can cause boiler damage.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular ash removal and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually every few weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney, and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with open flame, high temperatures, and pressure elements, where a connection error can be a safety risk.
