EasyControl registers when you are at home and automatically adapts heating to your daily routine, without you having to do anything. This way, heating is only on when you actually need it. Saving energy can be this simple!

 

Individual room control

21 °C in the living room, 24 °C in the bathroom and 18 °C in the bedroom – with the EasyControl controller you can control them effortlessly. Simply enter the desired temperature for each room and that's it. The only additional technology needed is the Bosch smart radiator thermostat (Smart TRV).

 

Individual room control for underfloor heating is not yet supported.

 

Simply control water heating

EasyControl saves you money not only on heating, but also on hot water heating.

It offers three options:

• On: hot water is available at any time
• Automatic: water is heated according to a time schedule
• Off: the hot water function is switched off

Backlighting

The EasyControl controller communicates with you not only through the app, but also through its backlighting. As soon as you send a command to increase the temperature to the heating system, it lights up orange for one second, or conversely blue if you are lowering the temperature. If you leave home, the backlighting turns green, signalling that the heating has automatically switched to "away" mode. Red backlighting signals a fault in the heating system. If everything is working as it should, the backlighting remains off.

Frequently asked questions

• How exactly do I choose the output of a BOSCH condensing boiler? The basis is the calculated heat loss of the heated building (most reliably from project documentation or an energy certificate). If you don't have a project, you can roughly estimate approx. 60-100 W per m² of floor area for a normally insulated house built after 2000, or 100-150 W/m² for an older, non-insulated house - the exact figure varies depending on the number of floors, ceiling height, number and quality of windows, and building orientation. An oversized boiler switches on and off more often (so-called cycling), which shortens its service life and reduces efficiency; an undersized boiler, on the other hand, cannot sufficiently heat the house on freezing days.
• Why is a condensing boiler more economical than a conventional one? A condensing boiler also uses the heat hidden in the water vapour produced when burning gas - in a conventional boiler this leaves unused through the chimney, while in a condensing boiler it cools below the so-called dew point, the vapour condenses, and the released heat is returned to the heating circuit. Thanks to this, condensing boilers achieve an efficiency of approximately 105-110% relative to the calorific value of the gas, compared to a typical 85-92% for conventional boilers.
• What type of flue gas discharge does this boiler need? Most modern condensing boilers are so-called turbo boilers (with a sealed combustion chamber) and require a coaxial (concentric) or separate flue gas discharge and combustion air supply routed through the perimeter wall or roof - so they don't need a functional chimney. You can find the exact type and maximum length of the flue (according to a diameter of 60/100 or 80/125 mm) in the technical documentation for the specific model, or consult our customer service.
• What does the ErP energy class shown for the boiler mean? This is the mandatory efficiency labelling for heating appliances under the EU ErP (Ecodesign) directive, similar to the energy labels on refrigerators. Condensing boilers commonly achieve class A, or even higher in combination with room control (e.g. A+ when using weather-compensated control and a room thermostat).
• Can I install and connect this boiler myself? No. Connection to the natural gas supply, electrical network and flue gas discharge is by law reserved exclusively for a person with the appropriate authorisation (most commonly an authorised service technician of the given brand or a gas appliance inspection technician). After installation, the boiler must be commissioned by the manufacturer's authorised service, which is usually also a condition for the warranty to be valid.
• What about servicing and the warranty? Most manufacturers require a regular annual service inspection by an authorised service provider in order to keep the warranty valid even after its standard expiry (extended warranty with regular servicing is common especially for the Vaillant, Protherm and Viessmann brands).
