EasyControl registers when you are home and automatically adapts the heating to your daily routine, without you having to do anything. This way, the heating is switched on only when you actually need it. Saving energy can be this simple!

 

Individual room control

21 °C in the living room, 24 °C in the bathroom and 18 °C in the bedroom – with the EasyControl controller you can manage them effortlessly. Simply enter the desired temperature for each room and that's it. The only additional technology needed is the Bosch smart radiator thermostat (Smart TRV).

 

Individual room control for underfloor heating is not yet supported.

EasyControl saves you money not only on heating, but also on hot water heating.

It offers three options:

• On: hot water is available at any time

Backlight

The EasyControl controller communicates with you not only via the app, but also through its backlight. As soon as you send a command to increase the temperature, it lights up orange for one second, or blue if you are lowering the temperature. If you leave home, the backlight turns green, indicating that the heating has automatically switched to "away" mode. Red backlight indicates a fault in the heating system. If everything is working as it should, the backlight stays off.

Frequently Asked Questions

• How exactly do I choose the output of a BOSCH condensing boiler? The basis is the calculated heat loss of the heated building (most reliably from project documentation or an energy certificate). If you don't have a project, you can roughly estimate around 60-100 W per m² of floor area for a typically insulated house built after 2000, or 100-150 W/m² for an older, uninsulated house - the exact figure, however, varies depending on the number of floors, room height, the number and quality of windows, and the building's orientation. A boiler oversized for its output switches on and off more often (so-called cycling), which shortens its lifespan and reduces efficiency; an undersized boiler, on the other hand, cannot sufficiently heat the house on freezing days.
• Why is a condensing boiler more economical than a conventional one? A condensing boiler additionally uses the heat hidden in the water vapour produced when gas is burned - in a conventional boiler this escapes unused through the flue, while in a condensing boiler it is cooled below the so-called dew point, the vapour condenses, and the released heat is returned to the heating circuit. As a result, condensing boilers achieve an efficiency of approximately 105-110% relative to the calorific value of the gas, compared to a typical 85-92% for conventional boilers.
• What type of flue gas exhaust does this boiler need? Most modern condensing boilers are so-called turbo boilers (with a sealed combustion chamber) and require a coaxial (concentric) or separate flue gas exhaust and combustion air supply routed through an external wall or roof - so a functional chimney is not needed. • What does the ErP energy class shown for the boiler mean? • Can I install and connect this boiler myself? No. By law, connection to the natural gas supply, the electrical network, and the flue gas exhaust may only be carried out by a person with the relevant qualification (most often an authorised service technician for the given brand or a gas appliance inspection technician). After installation, the boiler must be commissioned by the manufacturer's authorised service, which is usually also a condition for the warranty to be valid.
• What about servicing and the warranty? Most manufacturers require a regular annual service inspection by an authorised service provider in order for the warranty to remain valid even after its standard expiry (extended warranty for regular servicing is common, especially for the brands Vaillant, Protherm, and Viessmann).
