Product detailed description
Bosch (JUNKERS) GC5300i WT 24/48 3.4-23.9 kW white
- 24kW for heating and 30kW for hot water preparation in a 48 l integrated tank
- the tank with a heating coil is an ideal solution for water with increased hardness
- the unit is compact and takes up little space, making it ideal for modernisation
- comfortable water heating thanks to increased output of 30kW
- intuitive touch control via an LCD display, with the option of wireless cooperation with the EasyControl control system
- optimised gas consumption costs thanks to high energy efficiency and a wide modulation range
Simply comfortable
With the Condens 5300i WT you have chosen comfortable hot water heating. Thanks to the integrated tank, the unit always provides enough hot water for a bath and a shower. Simply open the tap - and water at a constant temperature flows immediately. Simply enjoy it!
Simple energy saving
In combination with an intelligent controller, the burner automatically adjusts its output to the current needs of your household. The unit therefore operates in an energy-efficient way even when you don't need its full output. The Condens 5300i WT thus reaches energy class A - for high energy efficiency.
Simple connection via smartphone
With a WLAN controller, such as EasyControl from Bosch, and a suitable key, the Condens 5300i WT can easily be connected online. You can then control the heating of your home anytime and everywhere using the app. Simply ideal for your Smart Home!
Frequently asked questions
- How exactly do I choose the right output for a condensing boiler? The starting point is the calculated heat loss of the heated building (most reliably taken from the project documentation or an energy certificate). If you don't have a project, you can estimate roughly 60-100 W per m² of floor area for a normally insulated house built after 2000, or 100-150 W/m² for an older, uninsulated house - the exact figure varies depending on the number of floors, ceiling height, the number and quality of windows, and the building's orientation. A boiler oversized for the output switches on and off more often (so-called cycling), which shortens its lifespan and reduces efficiency; an undersized boiler, on the other hand, cannot heat the house sufficiently on freezing days.
- Why is a condensing boiler more economical than a conventional one? A condensing boiler also makes use of the heat hidden in the water vapour produced when gas is burned - in a conventional boiler this escapes unused through the flue, whereas in a condensing boiler it is cooled below the so-called dew point, the vapour condenses, and the released heat is returned to the heating circuit. Thanks to this, condensing boilers reach an efficiency of approximately 105-110% relative to the calorific value of the gas, compared with the usual 85-92% for conventional boilers.
- What type of flue gas exhaust does this boiler need? Most modern condensing boilers are so-called "turbo" units (with a sealed combustion chamber) and require a coaxial (concentric) or split flue-gas exhaust and combustion air intake duct, routed through an external wall or the roof - so a functioning chimney is not required. You'll find the exact type and maximum duct length (for a 60/100 or 80/125 mm diameter) in the technical documentation for the specific model, or you can consult our customer service.
- What does the ErP energy class shown for the boiler mean? This is the mandatory efficiency label for heating appliances under the EU ErP (Ecodesign) directive, similar to the energy labels used for refrigerators. Condensing boilers commonly reach class A, or higher in combination with room controls (e.g. A+ when using weather-compensated control together with a room thermostat).
- Can I install and connect this boiler myself? No. Connecting to the natural gas supply, the electrical network, and the flue gas exhaust is by law reserved exclusively for a person with the relevant authorisation (most often an authorised service technician of the given brand, or a certified gas appliance inspector). After installation, the boiler must be commissioned by the manufacturer's authorised service, which is also usually a condition for the warranty to be valid.
- What about servicing and the warranty? Most manufacturers require a regular annual service inspection by an authorised service provider in order to keep the warranty valid even after its standard expiry (an extended warranty with regular servicing is common especially for brands such as Vaillant, Protherm, and Viessmann). You'll find the exact warranty terms in the warranty certificate supplied with the boiler.
- What is included with this specific product? The exact contents of the package (the boiler itself, and where applicable a hot water storage tank, room controls, and other accessories in the case of a set) are stated in the product name and in its technical parameters above on this page.
