The Logamax plus GB172 only uses as much gas and operating current as is actually needed. The modulating burner ensures that the can be adjusted within a range of 23 to 100% (for the Logamax plus GB172-14 variant). Thanks to intelligent control and technology, the standard high-efficiency speed-controlled pump has very low electricity consumption. Together with the basic control system and the boiler's digital controller, the Logamax plus GB172 consumes only 2 W in standby mode. With high efficiency even at partial load, gas heating with condensing technology provides single-family and semi-detached houses with exceptionally economical comfort for heating and/or hot water as needed.

The full standard equipment speeds up and simplifies the installation of the compact Logamax plus GB172 gas condensing boiler. On the clearly arranged RC310 control unit, your preferred comfort temperature can be both easily programmed and spontaneously changed. The available gateway allows the gas condensing boiler to be controlled via smartphone or the Buderus app.

Recovering heat from water vapour

A large part of the heat generated during the combustion process is contained in the vapour of the hot flue gases. The principle of condensing technology is to make use of this heat too, thereby achieving higher energy utilisation. Heat is extracted from the vapour by cooling and in the heat exchanger, and is then

fed back into the heating circuit. The result is a high standard utilisation rate of up to 109%.

Hot water quickly and in sufficient quantity

When you want hot water, you want it right away, without a long wait. The Logamax plus GB172 combi boiler fulfils this wish best of all. Thanks to the practical THERMOquick warm-start function, you can turn a bath into a pleasant, relaxing soak even before the instantaneous heater has reached its full output. The temperature of the outflowing water is, of course, precisely and constantly regulated. This prevents disruptive fluctuations in temperature, e.g. while showering. There's no doubt that comfort is a major advantage with Buderus.
