For optimal results, professionals use a dose of up to 50g/m² (meaning 2.5 kg per 50 m²); with proper watering, this avoids the need for further reseeding.

• Kentucky bluegrass - Poa Pratensis - 10 %

PREPARATION:

First, it is advisable to remove old vegetation, roots, weeds, and stones. The top layer should be loosened, thoroughly watered, mixed with 2 cm of lawn substrate, and left to settle for about a week. Then roll it and finally level the soil with a rake so that the top layer of soil is sufficiently loosened.

The ideal time to plant a new lawn is (in an average year) the turn of April/May, or in autumn in September/October.

When sowing, we recommend using a hand seeder for smaller areas, or a trailer-mounted seeder for larger areas, in order to achieve an even distribution of the grass seed.

MAINTENANCE :

Mowing :

The lawn is mowed for the first time when it reaches a height of about 6-8 cm. It is mowed a second time down to a height of 3-4 cm. Later, the grass can be mowed to a height depending on the type of seed used. For sports seed, the mowed grass height should be about 3 cm.

Care:

A lawn intended to be a garden ornament requires regular mowing (ideally with the help of a Wiper robotic mower), the supply of necessary nutrients 3 times a year (spring/transitional/autumn fertilizing), and chemical treatment against diseases and pests as needed.

NOTICE: before planting the lawn, also consider laying a mole net (about 5-6cm below the surface, ideally under the substrate), to ensure that all your work does not ultimately go to waste because of this unwanted visitor.
