Storage Tanks for Heat Pumps
QUADROFLEX QFDS and QF2DS series storage tanks are designed specifically to work with heat pumps. Models with one heat exchanger (QFDS) and with two heat exchangers (QF2DS) allow the heat pump to be combined with, for example, solar collectors or another heat source.
Capacities from 300 to 1000 litres cover the needs of a smaller household as well as a larger family house with higher hot water consumption. A combination tank QFDS 1 250/110 is also available, with a separate space for domestic hot water preparation and heating water accumulation.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between QFDS and QF2DS? QFDS has one heat exchanger, QF2DS has two heat exchangers, so a heat pump and solar collectors can be connected at the same time, for example.
- What tank capacity should I choose? As a guideline, 200-300 l per person for typical consumption; the exact recommendation depends on the number of occupants and the heat pump's output.
- What is the QFDS 1 250/110 combination tank? A tank with a smaller built-in hot water cylinder inside a larger heating water buffer tank - saving space in the boiler room.
