The actoSTOR tank is designed for ecoTEC plus VUW boilers and can also be fitted to them retrospectively. The boiler and tank are connected using special accessories. Installation is not at all complicated - there is no need to alter the heating or hot water pipework. All that is required is a simple electrical connection to the boiler, and the entire installation is complete. Although the tank volume is small, thanks to the principle of layered hot water storage it offers excellent comfort for hot water heating. Hot water is heated in an external secondary heat exchanger in the boiler and is transported and stored in layers in the tank by a special pump. This achieves precise attainment of the required hot water temperature and ensures maximum use of thermal energy. The output of the boiler with the actoSTOR tank is comparable to combinations of a boiler and a classic tank with a volume of approx. 60 to 70 litres. Thanks to ActoNomic technology, thermal energy is used more efficiently than with classic tanks with a coil heat exchanger.
