Vaillant Ø 110/160 mm flue gas discharge system

The Ø 110/160 mm pipe system belongs to the family of concentric (coaxial) Vaillant flue systems designed for large-capacity gas condensing boilers with higher rated output – typically the ecoTEC plus VU 806/5-5, 1006/5-5 and 1206/5-5 range (output range approx. 80–120 kW), ecoCRAFT exclusiv and ecoVIT exclusiv modular assemblies, as well as cascade connections of multiple boilers to a common flue gas collector. The inner pipe through which flue gases flow is made of durable polypropylene (PP) with high temperature and chemical resistance to condensate (condensate resistance class W according to EN 14471), while the outer casing carrying combustion air is made of UV-stabilized plastic or aluminium depending on the specific part. Installation

The assembly is installed at the point where the horizontal (or slightly rising) route from the boiler changes direction into the vertical shaft. Recommended procedure:

  • first, the support bend is fitted into the shaft wall or onto a support bracket – this bend takes on the weight of the entire vertical branch of pipe in the shaft,
  • the 87° inspection T-bend follows the support bend, and its side arm with the inspection cover must remain accessible (not built in or covered) for future inspections,
  • the 0.5 m extension is used to fine-tune the exact distance between the T-bend and the outlet on the boiler or on the preceding part of the route,
  • all joints are pushed together with the bayonet lock until they stop; it is recommended to lightly lubricate the seals with silicone grease before assembly to ease insertion and improve tightness,
  • after installation, a pressure/smoke tightness test should be performed according to the boiler manufacturer's instructions.

The inspection opening of the T-bend must remain permanently accessible – when building suspended ceilings, cladding or cabinets around the pipe, a door or removable panel must be left exactly at the inspection point.
