Vaillant VAZ CPW/2 is a wireless wall control panel without a CO&sub2; sensor for the recoVAIR VAR 60/2 DW local ventilation system. The panel communicates with the units wirelessly at a frequency of 868.0 – 868.6 MHz, so its installation does not require running a communication cable to the units.

The control panel allows you to set all operating modes of the recoVAIR system: manual selection of the power level, automatic mode, monitoring mode, intensive ventilation, night ventilation with quieter operation, cross ventilation, and separate supply or exhaust air mode. Four ventilation intensity levels are available (night, 1, 2, 3), as well as humidity threshold setting. Installation and mounting

Installation of the recoVAIR VAR 60/2 unit consists of a core drill hole with a diameter of 162 mm through the perimeter wall, into which the mounting tube is fitted (an insulated plastic tube available in a length of 500 mm, which can be shortened, or for thicker walls up to 1,000 mm, two tubes can be combined). On the exterior side, the opening is covered with a white outer cover with a noise silencer type VAZ WD160, which also protects against rain and insect ingress and reduces the transmission of outdoor noise indoors. The unit itself is inserted into the prepared mounting tube from the interior side and connected to the 230 V/50 Hz electrical mains.

The DW variant units communicate wirelessly at a radio frequency of 868.0 – 868.6 MHz, which is an ideal solution for renovations without demolition, in heritage-protected buildings, or anywhere that running a new cable between rooms would be complicated, expensive, or structurally problematic. Pairing the units is done simply via the service menu, and the range of the radio connection in a typical masonry building is sufficient for typical distances between rooms in a house or apartment.

The operating temperature of the unit ranges from −30 °C to +50 °C, so the recoVAIR VAR 60/2 works reliably even during freezing winters in Slovakia as well as during summer heat. Filter replacement is a maintenance-free operation that does not require servicing – the filter cartridge is simply pulled out and replaced with a new one.

The ceramic heat storage exchanger is a maintenance-free component with no moving parts, which under normal operation does not require cleaning or replacement throughout the lifetime of the unit.
