Listing controls
This category includes original ducting components for the Vaillant recoVAIR VAR 150/4, VAR 260/4 and VAR 360/4 central heat recovery units. Here you will find the main air handling run in black EPP (expanded polypropylene) with a diameter of 210/180 mm - straight sections, roof outlets for both flat and pitched roofs - as well as the follow-up system of low-profile manifolds with spigots and plugs, which distribute the air through flexible 75/62 mm hoses into the individual rooms to the diffusers and plate valves.
The parts are mutually compatible within a single recoVAIR /4 system and follow the same diameters and connecting elements (bayonet lock, seals), so the design and installation of the ducting can be combined precisely according to the floor plan and the number of ventilated rooms in the project.
Frequently asked questions
- Is EPP ducting compatible with all recoVAIR units? The 210/180 mm diameter is intended for the central VAR 150/4, VAR 260/4 and VAR 360/4 units - this main run is not used with the decentralised VAR 60 units.
- Why EPP and not smooth plastic ducting? Expanded polypropylene has its own thermal insulation, it is light, rigid and prevents condensation on the surface of ducting routed through cold spaces (attic, facade).
- How many manifolds do I need for a typical family house? Usually one low-profile manifold with 12 or 17 outlets placed in the ceiling void next to the unit is sufficient, from which the air is distributed by 75/62 mm hoses to all rooms.
- Can unused manifold outlets be blanked off? Yes, using 75 mm plugs (supplied in packs of 10) it is easy to close off outlets that are not used in a given project.
