Frequently asked questions
- How exactly do I choose the output of a VAILLANT condensing boiler? The basis is the calculated heat loss of the heated building (most reliably from the project documentation or an energy certificate). If you don't have a project, you can estimate roughly 60-100 W per m² of floor area for a normally insulated house built after 2000, or 100-150 W/m² for an older, uninsulated house - the exact figure varies depending on the number of floors, ceiling height, the number and quality of windows, and the building's orientation. A boiler that is oversized for its output switches on and off more often (so-called cycling), which shortens its lifespan and reduces efficiency; conversely, an undersized boiler won't be able to heat the house sufficiently on freezing days.
- Why is a condensing boiler more economical than a conventional one? A condensing boiler also makes use of the heat hidden in the water vapour produced when gas is burned - in a conventional boiler this escapes unused through the flue, whereas in a condensing boiler it is cooled below the so-called dew point, the vapour condenses, and the released heat is returned to the heating circuit. Thanks to this, condensing boilers achieve an efficiency of around 105-110% relative to the calorific value of the gas, compared to the usual 85-92% for conventional boilers.
- What type of flue gas discharge does this boiler need? Most modern condensing boilers are so-called turbo units (with a sealed combustion chamber) and require a concentric or separate flue gas discharge and combustion air intake routed through an exterior wall or roof - so a functioning chimney is not needed. You can find the exact type and maximum length of the flue (depending on the 60/100 or 80/125 mm diameter) in the technical documentation for the specific model, or consult our customer service.
- What does the ErP energy class shown for the boiler mean? This is a mandatory efficiency label for heating appliances under the EU ErP (Ecodesign) directive, similar to the energy labels found on refrigerators. Condensing boilers commonly achieve class A, or even higher in combination with room controls (e.g. A+ when using weather-compensating control and a room thermostat).
- Can I install and connect this boiler myself? No. Connection to the natural gas supply, the electrical network, and the flue gas discharge must, by law, be carried out exclusively by a person with the relevant qualification (most often an authorised service technician for the given brand or a gas appliance inspection technician). After installation, the boiler must be commissioned by the manufacturer's authorised service, which is usually also a condition for the warranty to be valid.
- What about servicing and the warranty? Most manufacturers require a regular annual service inspection by an authorised service provider in order for the warranty to remain valid even after its standard expiry (an extended warranty for regular servicing is common especially with the Vaillant, Protherm, and Viessmann brands). You can find the exact warranty terms in the warranty certificate supplied with the boiler.

dakujem za vasu odpoveď. Vychádza mi to teda tak, že ak rozpočet dovolí a beriem investíciu na 10 rokov opplatí sa priplatiť si za VU 25CS/1-7 hlavne kvôli modulačnému rozsahu.(?)

Program je možné nastaviť len cez aplikáciu a na termostate je možné zmeniť iba akutálnu programovú teplotu, ktorá zostane nastavená až do ďalšej zmeny. Presne Vám nevieme takto na ďiaľku poradiť. Zasielam Vám nejaké informácie ktoré by Vám mohli pomôcť: V prvom rade je dôležité aby prijímač bol v režime pripojenia - režim AP. To znamená, že zelený indikátor LED by mal rýchlo blikať. Ak nieje v tomto režime AP, bliká pomaly - vtedy by ste mali držať tlačidlo na prijímači (jediné tlačidlo uprostred) po dobu približne 5 sekúnd, takže zelené svetlo začne blikať. Potom by mal byť prijímač na Vašom telefóne viditeľný, ak sa dostane do vyhľadávania wifi. Následne by ste mali ísť do aplikácie termostatu a pokúsiť sa pridať nový termostat : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb4U1SQEclM Ak problém pretrváva, môže ísť o chybu v routeri. V tomto prípade by som odporučil reštartovať Váš wifi router. Jediný problém s ktorým sme sa zatiaľ stretli bol práve v routeri. Išlo o model HUAWEI B315. V tomto prípade bolo nutné vymeniť router. Prosím dajte vedieť či sa Vám podarilo pripojiť, resp. či problém pretrváva. Ak bude problém pretrvávať, prosím uveďte aký model routera máte. Ďakujem a prajem pekný deň.
