    VIESSMANN ViCare thermostat – modulating

    • Smart thermostat with boiler output modulation
    • without the option of using an outdoor temperature sensor

    ViCare APP

    Wall-mounted gas condensing boilers Vitodens with the new electronic platform have an integrated WiFi interface. This allows a direct internet connection whenever needed. Through the ViCare app, operating the heating system is completely simple and intuitive. It creates a link to the digital service and is in direct contact with the local specialist partner.
    ViCare can, on request, use the GPS function of the mobile phone to detect the distance from the heating appliance. If the set distance is exceeded, the room temperature is automatically lowered. You can also add the ViCare thermostat to the system to enjoy even greater comfort and efficiency.
    The app offers the following functions:

    ● You have an overview of the state of the whole system in real time.
    ● With a swipe of a finger you select the desired room temperature.
    ● You set the desired hot water temperature.
    ● Using the heating time assistant, you can set switching times for heating and hot water in a few steps.
    ● Display of the current outdoor temperature.
    ● Display of the temperature history for the past few days.
    The ViCare app gives you an overview of the current operating status of your heating system. This gives you peace of mind and makes everything more predictable. Thanks to this, you can program different switching times for each day as needed.
    In addition, you can select normal or party mode in the app. Party mode can extend the heating period when you have a longer party with guests and want to keep the room warm for longer. There is also an express savings mode available. It lowers the temperature while you are away from home. Not to mention one-off hot water heating, if you want to take a long bath.
    Normal and party mode are available to users with both Android and Apple devices. Please note that your heating system’s controls must support this function.
    Current appliance status and a direct line to an experienced specialist
    In addition, the ViCare app offers automatic messages with a current description of the status of your appliance. This way you can identify in time whether there is a problem or whether everything is fine. Similarly, through the ViCare app you have a direct line to a specialist partner as soon as a message appears on the heating appliance.
    Possible error messages are easy to recognize, because the ViCare app works via a traffic-light system:
    ● Green: Everything is fine.
    ● Yellow: Maintenance is required.
    ● Red: A problem has occurred.
    If the field is red, the specialist partner’s contact is automatically displayed. For this function, all you need to do is select the details of your chosen specialist partner and save them in the app. Another option is to connect the specialist partner directly to the heating system. This requires service authorization. You can do this with just two clicks. This allows the specialist partner to detect faults in time and possibly even repair them remotely, or come to you with the correct spare parts.
    Installing the ViCare app
    Installing the ViCare app is easier than you think.
    The following prerequisites apply:
    ● Internet connection (a time- and volume-unlimited data plan).
    ● Smartphones with the Apple iOS or Google Android operating system (the current version needs to be downloaded from the respective store).
    ● Viessmann Vitoconnect 100 internet interface, type OPTO 1.
    ● Viessmann gas appliances installed from 2004, heat pumps installed from 2010, and solid-fuel heating appliances installed from 2016. Contact your authorized specialist partner for exact compatibility information.
    Once the ViCare system has been installed and activated, the specialist partner will, based on your choice, be able to monitor your system using the Vitoguide app.

    Frequently asked questions

    • How exactly does a manual (simple) thermostat work? It measures the temperature at its installation location and, when it drops below the set value, closes a contact that starts the heat source (boiler, pump, heating appliance) - once the set temperature is reached, the contact opens again. Unlike programmable thermostats, it has no weekly or daily program; the temperature is set manually using a rotary or sliding control.
    • Where should the thermostat be placed? In a location that best represents the typical room temperature - away from direct sunlight, drafts, radiators, or other heat/cold sources that would distort the measurement.
    • Does installation have to be done by an electrician? Connecting the thermostat to the electrical circuit of the heating source should be carried out by a person with electrical qualifications, since it involves working on the wiring and load switching.

    Dobrý deň, prosím Vás uvažujem o kúpe kotla Vitodens 050-W alebo 100-W. V prospektoch je všade odkaz na použitie ViCare termostatu. Zistil som, že existuje dvojbodový alebo modulačný. Funguje modulačný s oboma typmi kotlov? Je tento ViCare termostat ako náhrada za klasický izbový termostat - teda podľa teploty v miestnosti reguluje spínanie a výkon kotla? Teploty si potom nastavujem na kotli alebo cez aplikáciu ViCare? Stačí mi nový kotol 050 alebo 100 a tento termostat? Nepotrebujem nejaké ďalšie komponenty? Nemáte k tomu prosím nejakú technickú dokumentáciu? Ďakujem

    Dobrý deň, áno funguje. Teplotu si viete nastaviť na termostate, alebo v aplikácií, nič iné nie je potrebné. Dostupnú dokumentáciu môžete nájsť priamo na stránke v záložke súvisiace súbory. Pekný deň.

    Dobry den, prosim ktory termostat je vhodny ku Vitodens 200-W B2HE. Je vhodny aj Vicare termostat modulacny, alebo tento je urceny pre 100 radu? Viac sa mi paci tento Vicare smart termostat ako regulacia Vitorol 200/300. Je prosim Vicare smart plnohodnotna nahrada Vitotrol co sa tyka regulacie kotla? Dakujem.

    1. Je možné že pri aplikácií ViCARE vie zapnúť kotol aj pre viac mobilných telefónov? 2. Máte s touto aplikáciou aj nejaké vlastné skúsenosti? 3. Viem toto riešenie aj s VIA CARE nemodulovaným termostatom použiť aj pre elektrický kotol Protherm?

    Dobry den, pokud tento termostat instaluji do obývacího pokoje a náhodou bude výpadek internet konektivity a Wifi, je možné kotel ovládat i nějak rucne ? Je nutné k tomuto termostatu ještě nebo dokoupit? Dekuji

    Dobrý deň,chcel by som sa opýtať na tento termostat,či bude fungovať,aj s kotlom Viessmann Vitodens 100- W , B1KC-26. Alebo,aký programovateľný termostat mi odporúčate k tomuto kotlu.Ale aby kotol moduloval svoj výkon,teda nie on - off termostat !!! Niečo podobné ako thermolink P ku kotlu Protherm Gepard.
